You can change the name of your company at any time after registration. ZCR provides a professional service to change your company name. This can usually be done within 12 working days, subject to the Companies Registry workload.
We will prepare and file the necessary form at the Companies Registry, and also provide all related documents such as a resolution, minutes and certificate of name change.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to change my company name?
We will conduct a name search to determine the availability of the new proposed company name which will be normally be approved within 24 working hours. Then we will place adverts which will be filed together with other company name change documents 14 days after the publication of the advert. The registry process usually takes 9-12 working days depending on their workload.
Will my company number change if I change my company name?
No, your company number will not change.
Will I receive a new certificate of incorporation and company documents?
No, you will not receive a new certificate of incorporation with the new company name. You will receive a certificate of name change. Also the company’s memorandum will not change, as this lists the subscribers to the company on the day it was formed.
How do I correct a spelling mistake in my company name?
You need to take the same process as a company name change in order for you to correct the mistake.
Will the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the company change?
No. These will not change. The Companies Act Chapter (24:03) states, “The change of name shall not affect any rights or obligations of the company, or render defective any legal proceedings by or against the company, and any legal proceedings that might have been continued or commenced by or against it by its former name may be continued or commenced under its new name.”
