You will need to provide the following information

1. Company names

3-5 proposed company names in order of preference i.e the most preferred at the top. The use of qualifiers is highly encouraged e.g. investments, group, enterprises etc.

2. Core business activity

The primary activities your business engages in for the primary purpose of making a profit for example mining or transport and logistics.

3. Directors details

Name(s) and surname as shown on their official government issued documents (i.e. national identity document, current passport or birth certificate).
Any former name(s) and surname if applicable.
National identity or passport number.
Nationality.
Full residential or business address and postal address.

*At least one director should ordinarily a resident of Zimbabwe.

*Every director should be above the legal age of 16 years and should have not been disqualified from being a director.

4. Shareholder details

Where the shareholder is a natural person

Name(s) and surname as shown on their official government issued documents.
Full residential or business address or postal address.

Where the shareholder is a company

Company name as shown on the official company documents.
Company address.
Company number.
Company representatives name(s) as shown on their government issued identity documents.

5. Secretary details (optional)

Name(s) and surname as shown on their official government issued documents.
Any former name(s) and surname if applicable.
National identity or passport number.
Nationality.
Full residential or business address and postal address.

Frequently asked questions

Why do you need 3-5 proposed names?

Just in case the Companies Registry rejects your first preferred name the other will be considered for registration.

What are examples of name qualifiers?

Examples of qualifiers are investments, group, enterprises, incorporated.

They are also industry specific qualifiers such as XXX Mining, Transport, Finance etc.

Can I use my home address as my company address?

Yes you can use your home address as your company address.
