1. Company Name
First on the list of the requirements for registering a company in Zimbabwe is company name. You are supposed to supply this is at the very first stage.
It’s best you provide four to five unique company names to be considered by the registrar of companies and have them listed in order of preference. Your most desired company name at the very top and the least desired at the bottom.
Most importantly, it is important that you take time to choose a good company name. A good company name can be an asset to your company. Think of company names such as Google, Virgin, Coca-Cola, Amazon or even local companies such as Vaya, Cumii or Econet.

2. Company Addresses
The second on the list for requirements for registering a company in Zimbabwe is the official addresses of the company. You must provide both the postal and physical addresses of the company.
However, if you do not have a company address as yet, you can use a residential address but it will be recorded as the official correspondence address where the registrars office will send any official communication.
Similarly, if you then choose to change the addresses, you need to update with the register at companies department for correspondence sake.
3. Directors Information
The directors information is another requirement for registering a company in Zimbabwe.
The information includes the director’s names and surnames. Middle names can also be provided but are not a prerequisite. Also needed is the directors identification numbers (I. D. Numbers), addresses, nationalities. You should note that one of the directors should be a Zimbabwean.

4. Shareholders Information
You must also supply the shareholders information. The information you must supply includes the director’s names and surnames. Middle names can also be provided but are not a prerequisite like with the director’s. Also needed are the shareholders identification numbers (I. D. Numbers), addresses, nationalities.
5. Company’s Core Business Activities
The core objectives of a company are the activities the company is involved in. These are the goods or services that the company will be providing. The activities are listed on the registered company’s Articles Of Association for a Private Limited Company (PLC) or on a Certificate of Incorporation for a Private Business Corporation (PBC).
However, a Private Limited Company is allowed to explore any legal business activity it chooses to explore. That is because the articles of association have an unlimited business options.
Private Business Corporations on the other hand are limited to the three or four activities listed in the certificate of incorporation.
