Transfer of shares
The shares or other interest of any member in a company is movable property, which means you can transfer or sell your shares. We help our clients with a transfer of shares service, including preparing all necessary paperwork and meeting all legal requirements.
What’s included?
- Share transfer certificate: A legally binding form showing who is transferring shares to to whom and their personal details
- Meeting Minutes: All registered companies are required by Companies and Other Business Entities Act (Chapter 24:06) to maintain minutes of all meetings of the directors and for these to be available for inspection by any director. The directors should approve share transfers and issue minutes confirming the approval.
- Share Certificate(s): Companies are required to issue share certificates to shareholders within two months of an issue of shares or the date when the documents necessary to effect a transfer have been received by the company.
